Senate Cancels Special Session
and
Another Fraud Warning
This just in…
Citing a legislative legal opinion that the Governor’s removal of his oil tax bill from the special session proclamation is unconstitutional and invalidates the entire document, the state senate has declared an end to special session.
At this time the state house is still in special session but it remains to be seen what will happen next. With the passage of legislation against sex trafficking and the Governor’s withdrawal of his oil tax bill the only remaining issue to be dealt with was the in-state gas line bill. This bill was in possession of the senate and appears to have died with the special session.

Rep. Tuck discusses the Governor’s withdrawal of the oil tax bill at a recent press conference.
Watch out for Tuck Impersonators
I spend a lot of time checking in with the people I represent whether by phone, mail, e-mail or going door-to-door. It is very important that the people of my district know what is going on in their neighborhoods and that I am available to hear their concerns.
This is why I was shocked today when officials from the Alaska Department of Transportation notified me that someone claiming to be me has been calling residents in my district and telling them that the 92nd Avenue Connector Project has been delayed or cancelled.
The status of the project has not changed. For more information contact project manager Jim Amundsen at (907) 269-0595.
According to the DOT, “The reports came from a couple of different property owners that were very upset since our ROW section has already been in contact with them and DOT&PF is in the early stages of acquiring their property for the project. “
Deliberate misinformation like this undermines the public process and can have serious consequences for the residents who depend on accurate information. I will continue to reach out to you, however, until we can get to the bottom of this please call my office at 269-0240 if you have any doubt who may be contacting you.
I’m here for you, so please keep in touch on matters important to you and your family!
Warm regards,
