Reliable, fast internet access key to economic future
Rep. David Guttenberg (D-Fairbanks) will be addressing the Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce Transportation Committee at their weekly meeting at Denny’s on Thursday, June 18 at 7 a.m. Rep. Guttenberg will discuss the current state of broadband in Alaska and his vision for how it can be expanded and used to connect Alaskans and spur new economic opportunities.
Guttenberg is the primary sponsor of HB 107 which would create an internet access taskforce to advance the state’s broadband capability. Access to quality broadband across the state will be a powerful tool to expand and modernize Alaska’s economy and to enhance communications between the various regions.
