Services presents Paint The Town!

Does someone in your neighborhood need their home painted,
 but simply can’t afford it? 

Anchorage Neighborhood Housing Services is gearing up for our Paint The Town project. As part of a nationwide initiative we will participate with over 200 agencies across America in NeighborWorks® Week from June 7th – June 14th to help your neighbors in Anchorage by painting their homes free of charge.  This week is set aside for community housing organizations like Anchorage Neighborhood Housing Services to partner with community groups, sponsors, and volunteers to perform neighborhood enhancement projects. 

ANHS will be painting homes across the city for people who are disabled, elderly or of modest income.  If you know someone who needs their home painted, please call us at ANHS at 677-8490 to get more information about nominations, volunteers or adopting a home.  Homeowners should be asked if they want to participate before they are nominated.

What you can do:

  1. Nominate someone in your neighborhood who needs their home painted.  We are looking for people who are elderly, disabled, ill or of modest income.  Homes should only be one story and there are no income guidelines.  Contact us at 677-8490 for more information about nominating a home today.   2. We will be painting houses during the week of June 7th – June 13th.  Come and join us!  Get a team of 8-10 people and paint a house.  We supply all the materials and you supply the fun.  This year there will be a contest for the best team name.
  3. Adopt-a-house!  Each house can be adopted for $700.00 so gather your family, friends and co-workers and adopt a house today. Give us a call and we will provide you the information and house.
  4. Become a sponsor for Paint The Town. Sponsors are always welcome!  You can adopt a home for $700.00 or become a corporate sponsor.  We will be happy to send you more detailed information via e-mail or we can mail you a packet.   It’s easy, just call us and we can give you the information.
  5. The deadline for sponsorship, nominations and volunteer teams is May 10th.
