Dear Friends and Neighbors,
This week the capital city received a visit from the esteemed Senator Mark Begich, who came to speak before the Tongass Democrats as well as the entire Legislature during a Joint House and Senate Session. Among other topics he stressed the need for the State to make a commitment to fund our PUBLIC schools, recounting some of the wonderful educational experiences he had in the Anchorage School District.
You can also watch a video of me talking about the subject by clicking on the picture to the right.
Vouchers aren’t the only thing happening in the state. This last weekend marked the date of both Anchorage Caucus and my Anchorage Constituent meeting. Turnout for both was amazingly high, and I want to thank you for coming out and making sure your voice was heard.
I’m starting to receive completed surveys back from my district neighbors, and I’m happy to see a large number of you have replied. I promise to read every single one of them so I can make sure that I’m doing the best I can for the people of District 16.
Thank you,
